Dr. Ali Amiri is the Sustainability Director for Egis in the Middle East and South Asia, supporting all our business lines domains across the region. He is particularly interested in integrated and innovative design solutions where he can embed principles of sustainability, climate action and circularity into the day-to-day activities of multi-disciplinary design consultancy, both from projects perspective (e.g. Net Zero and Regenerative design solutions) as well as operations perspective (e.g. CSR and SBTi initiatives).
Dr. Ali brings more than 2 decades of experience in the construction sector in several countries including UK and the MENA region, with a wide sustainability management experience in buildings, infrastructure and master planning projects.
Dr. Ali graduated from University College London (UCL) with a PhD in Civil Engineering and Sustainability. He has been leading the sustainability and specialist aspects of several prestigious designs and competitions with signature architects such as Luca Dini, MVRDV, OMA, BIG and Zaha Hadid in various countries from MENA region to Southeast Asia. Egis is also Industrial Partner with Emirates Green Building Council (EGBC) in UAE.
