Thank you all for this most needed relief from our conditions of dis-ease. I am reminded of essential things obscured.
To what extent should/could the manifesto find its way into architectural education? This seems to present a potent and future-looking approach to catalyze longer term change. Arguably environmental design education falls short in embracing/understanding ethics, human behavior, political acumen, cultural sensitivity, etc.
How can transcending experience in architecture help human life?
Have you ever had such experience? Did it change your life and how?
Perhaps a next step would be to identify partners who have defined techniques that are consistent with the manifesto’s grand vision.
I am thinking of things like COTE, USGBC, The Living Building Challenge, WELL. There must be any number of others that overlap with the ACSF’s objectives.
I agree that many of these do not explicitly bring forth the spiritual aspects of their certification systems. But they are not exclusive of them.
To partner with them could expand the influence of this fine and important initiative.
I would love to get the bibliography of those lines read by Ahmad Zohadi. Thank you
